The Rainfurrest 2012 main hotel has re-opened for all convention dates at the convention rate. 

Apparantly one of the RF staff members was rummaging through the Warehouse and found a powerful artifact, a room key from the Hotel California. It has the ability to expand check-ins and room block sizes.  We're pretty sure you can check out any time you like.

If you have already booked a room in the overflow hotel, the Doubletree, they will be contacting you personally to offer to move your reservation to the main hotel at your already guaranteed con rate.

To request a special room, such as fursuit floor, party room, poolside room, etc. log in to the Rainfurrest registration site ( https://www.rainfurrest.org/convention_master/kiosk/web_reg/ ) and mark the pull-down menu with your room request type.

This just in, the RF 2012 main hotel, the Seatac Hilton, has completely sold out of rooms.  In response, a second hotel is now open for reservations at the convention rate of $119 per night.

The second hotel is the Seatac Doubletree, FC fans of old will remember the famous Doubletree cookies from San Jose that will now be awaiting them at check-in for Rainfurrest.  There will also be a free shuttle running every 20 minutes 24 hours a day during the convention between the two hotels.

This is Katie Ferret reporting for Rainfurrest.

The roomblock for Rainfurrest 2012, Warehouse Furteen, is open at the Seatac Hilton, September 26 - 30 2012.  The Warehouse Regents assure that the block is not sold out, but that by using HG Wells time machine they were able to determine that it will be sold out and that an overflow hotel will be available when the sell-out inevitably occurs.

Twin rooms are usually the first prone to sell out, as are the Wednesday and Sunday nights.  If you are having trouble booking, try booking a king room or changing the days of your stay.  The room block might be expanded if it sells out very early, but Schrodinger's Cat interfered with the Warehouse Library and the Regents are unable to predict with any certainty if their partners at Hilton will in fact do that.

Hope you all don't mind me doing this, but I'd like to know if any of you have seen or can post links to pictures of my red angry bird partial I had this year. I literally made it a week before the con with limited materials.

FURSUIT PARADE
Video from the Rainfurrest 2011 Fursuit Parade. Although there was no official count this year given at Closing Ceremonies, I counted (give or take a few) an amazing 244 suits in the parade this year!

FURSUIT DANCE FUN AT RAINFURREST 2011
I attended the epic dances every night at Rainfurrest 2011 (put on by Fur the Record) and have put together this compilation video showing the awesome fun that was had by all the attendees in the Hilton Convention Center's main ballroom.
Thanks to FTR for the work they did making the dances happen and all the DJs for keeping the beats going well into the night.

FAST FOOD FURSUITING II
The long-awaited sequel to "Fast Food Fursuiting with Ithabise" from All Fur Fun in 2009, this time in suit we have Ithabise, Dyno and Fizzle taking the lengthy trek from the Seattle Airport Hilton to the Jack in the Box for some noms, with lots of hilarity thrown in between.

DOGBOMB'S SURPRISE BIRTHDAY PARTY
Teh Desoto wanted to do a private surprise party on Sunday at Rainfurrest for dogbomb's birthday which was the 27th of September... somehow we crammed 15 furries into a small hotel room at the Clarion and gave the old mutt the surprise of his life!
I was the organizational lead for the party and got the desserts, and ordered the birthday banner in the video so he will always remember his first Rainfurrest :)
This was soooo much fun to be a part of and I know he appreciated all of his friends being there.

VARIETY SHOW HIGHLIGHTS

BUCKER FUSKYOTE
mooglepower entertained a capacity crowd on Saturday night at RF 2011, playing the banjo and guitar along with the drum accompaniment of the one and only Alexander James Adams.
I'm always looking forward to what he will perform at the next con's variety show!

ANIMALS ALL THE SAME - ALEXANDER JAMES ADAMS
Furry minstrel, songwriter and musician Alexander James Adams wowed the crowd at the RF 2011 Variety Show with an original song he wrote while at his first fur con many years back.
I thought the lyrics to this were beautiful and it was very well done by one of the fandom's great talents.

DRUMMER FOX/DREWFUS T. FOX - I'M NO SUPERMAN
Drummer Fox and Drewfus Teh Fox combined on vocals and guitar for this cover of Lazlo Bane's hit song I'm No Superman (Scrubs soundtrack). They did great for being called on short notice!

THE PUPPY WHO WOULD BE POPE - MORRIS STEGOSAURUS
Morris Stegosaurus performed a phenomenal poetry reading titled "The Puppy Who Would Be Pope" at the RF 2011 Variety Show. Watch and be utterly captivated by his words and epic delivery.

MY ENORMOUS FURSUIT
Groggy Fox (as Doppler) and company performed a funny skit based on a very popular song and video that went viral, changing out one NSFW word to something a little more PG ;)

ROOM PARTY

Hello, me and a friend are looking for the name of a fursuit that was at the dance Saturday night. The only description we can give is that the suit was a pink dog, with pointy ears somewhat close together. Any help would be appreciated in helping find the name/pics of this suiter.
